A CURATED COLLECTION
OF RESOURCES
FOR TCKS
Ben Between Africa is born from lived experience, an exploration of what it means to grow up between cultures while carrying both the richness and the weight of that in-between space. It is a film that invites reflection, not only on one person’s journey, but on the shared and often unspoken realities of Third Culture Kids.

Through its lens on mental health, intergenerational trauma, and the complexities of growing up overseas, the film brings forward stories that can feel both deeply personal and universally resonant. The tension of not fully belonging, the inheritance of family histories, and the quiet search for self all surface in ways that may feel familiar or newly illuminating.
We invite you to engage with the resources below as a way to reflect on your own story. Use them to explore your experiences, sit with moments of discomfort, and begin to make meaning of in-between spaces. By engaging with these questions individually and collectively, we open the door to deeper understanding and healing, creating space not only for our own stories, but for connection, empathy, and community across cultures and experiences
